Yet the universe of journalistic options beyond simple news, timelines and so on can be extremely large, if more of us start experimenting and finding new ways to bring all our intelligence to the job of telling compelling stories about science.

It is pretty rare that science journalists get to tell entire scientific stories as deeply as Ed did with the stem cell post and timeline. The fact that the Guardian, Science News, Boing Boing, ect. picked up the timeline suggests there’s an appetite for such information, but are they willing to pay?
